Seconde soirée In Paradisum de Mondkopf, dans un esprit techno/rave augmenté d'une touche expérimentale, pour fêter la sortie de son très attendu album Rising Doom. Epaulé par Qoso, il accueillera les rares Tommy Four Seven et Emptyset. Deux excellents DJs qui comptent parmi les producteurs les plus radicaux du moment, et dont les dernières sorties sur le label de Chris Liebing évoquent le meilleur d'Ostgut Ton & Raster Norton.

CFCF est le pseudonyme de Mike Silver, producteur Montréalais remarqué pour ses remixes de Health et Sally Shapiro avant un premier 7" chez les clairvoyants Acephale, puis l'album Continent qui en 2009, anticipait toute une vague de musiques de détente. Ses mixtapes qui piochent dans différents espaces temps sont d'une beauté classique.

Oneohtrix Point Never

Daniel Lopatin a réussi là où beaucoup échouent : il a ouvert nos oreilles à de nouvelles possibilités sonores, et nous a forcé a reconsidérer certains de nos jugements les plus basiques. Sa récente montée en puissance suit la sortie de la rétrospective "Rifts" et de "Returnal", album acclamé sur le label de Fennesz, Editions Mego. Il s'agit de son premier concert à Paris depuis la dernière édition de Villette Sonique et une rare occasion de voir un live intense.

Ford & Lopatin (formely Games)

Les deux maxis de Games sortis récemment (dont « That we can play » chez Hippos in tank : Sun Araw, Hype Williams, Gatekeeper…) sont parmi les propositions sonores les plus dépaysantes de ce début d'année, et les deux artistes s'expliquent à leur manière en qualifiant leur musique de "digy-psych", CDM (pour "contemplative dance music") ou encore "popular noise". Dans le vortex 80s de leur mixtapes "Spend the night with games" on anticipe une vision originale du DJ set.

Derrière une table de mixage, Mondkopf est capable de tout. Alliant la radicalité de sa jeunesse et une vision du mix « qui raconte des histoires », il se rapproche de ses ainés par des DJsets qui se moquent volontiers des modes, pour se nourrir de violence rave et de mélodies trance, de techno futuriste et de chaleur house tribale, voire d'ambient et d'electronica, et essayer d'approcher un équilibre éphémère d'énergie, d'étonnement et d'émotion.

En marge des résidences liées à Fluokids - Bloggers Delight / Jerkin'n'out (Social Club) / Orlin Zoo (Orléans, Tours), et après le succès de nos soirées Fool House au Point FMR et au Showcase l'an dernier, nous nous sommes laissé le temps d'avoir envie d'autre chose.

Nouveaux lieux, nouveaux horaires, nouvelles contraintes. Fool House plays standards revient au plaisir simple de se revoir et de jouer des disques. Une fête comme à la maison, un cercle de rencontre, réunion régulière entre membres du label et amis, ouvert aux sympathisants, autour des disques qui sont les classiques de nos vies.

Fondé par les Fluokids, Fool House sélectionne les morceaux qui rendent nos existences plus douces pour leur offrir une belle vie, ceci par le biais d'un vinyle de collection édité à 500 exemplaires d'une part, et d'une version digitale agrémentée de remixes d'autre part.

La deuxième sortie du label est le double single du trio "electro-synth-rock" new-yorkais 33Hz: "I Feel Alive / Sentinel Of Love", avec des remixes de The Shoes et Boombass (de Cassius) pour la version vinyle, et d'Eli Escobar, DJ Koyote, Rafale et Morten Sorensen pour la version digitale.

A cette occasion, les Digital Natives et Fool House unissent leurs forces pour vous proposer une "Release Party" d'anthologie, avec tous les acteurs de "I Feel Alive", version vinyle !

Brooklyn's 33Hz, (who have been rocking NY for a while now with their glossy blend of disco, r&b, electro and hip-hop) will be hosting their record release party and playing a full live show in the basement Studio room on the same night. These guys have a strong following in France – which is probably why the influential French blog Fluokids selected them as one of the first artists to be released on their new record label – Fool House Records. The E.P. is out this month (Jan 20) – and it features two new tracks: ‘I Feel Alive' and ‘Sentinel of Love' – with remixes by The Shoes, Boombass of Cassius, Eli Escobar, and a host of other top producers. All this activity comes hot on the heels of 33Hz's excellent remixes for Duran Duran and The Teenagers – which you can hear on their myspace (http://www.myspace.com/33hz) page.

The Valerie Collective (http://www.myspace.com/valeriejetaime) is not just a music blog - it is a group of like-minded DJs and musicians from West France that fuse authentic 80s synths with modern indie/electronica. Their productions are startling in their consistency, mood and feel; they offer a sense of a time that never existed, but we all somehow understand… a future that once seemed possible. Their ‘80s sci-fi inspired artwork (by The Zonders (http://www.thezonders.com) sums it up nicely. There are several “groups” under the collective including College (http://www.myspace.com/collegeoflove) , Anoraak (http://www.myspace.com/anoraak), Russ Chimes (http://www.myspace.com/russchimes) and Lovelock – all of whom will be performing. This will be their first time in the US - and the buzz is out.

Plus there will be a lot more going on… the indie-hipster Trash! party will be happening downstairs in the Studio and the excellent Alaska in Winter (http://www.myspace.com/alaskainwinter) will be playing an early live set. Dimitry!!! (High Voltage) will be spinning party tunes and classics in the Marlin Room, And you can expect to see JDH and Dave P (of Fixed) opening for the Valerie Collective in the Grand Ballroom. And there will be drinks specials.

London's biggest small party returns to the Social Club, after an unforgettable debut with Tartelet main man, Tomboy, entertaining over 1,000 party people.

This time, Blogger's Delight brings together another unlikely marriage, with emotive techno genius, Nathan Fake, playing live and banging Canadian duo, Jokers Of The Scene, playing an exclusive DJ set. Bridging the gap between pastoral, trancey soundscapes and bassy, pumping techno will be Fluokids wunderkind, Redhotcar and Blogger's Delight resident, Casper C. Anything from the latest hype electronica, to psychedelic grooves and bouncy, jackin' house can be expected.
